Matilda's Own Single-sided Fusible Foam is a quality product you can use - when you want a Bag, bowl, container etc to have extra stability... and be able to 'stand up' on its own.

It is available to purchase in two different width sizes - (it's actually more economical to buy in the wider/ larger bag...IF you are looking at using it on a number of items).

The two Bag sizes are -

  • The Medium Size Bag contains one continuous piece of SINGLE SIDED Fusible Foam that measures approx 18" x 58"

  • The Larger Size Bag contains one continuous piece of SINGLE SIDED Fusible Foam that is double the width at 36" x 58" (it is the more cost-effective option IF you would like to buy a larger piece to use)... or have plans on doing a number of items with it.

🩷 This is an EXCELLENT PRODUCT that I highly recommend if you would like an Iron-On Fusible Stabiliser,... that truly does give good stability when using it on your bags etc.

It has great 'form' and can be ironed onto the reverse of your BAG FRONT FABRIC etc.

It is great, as in this instance it still allows the 'linings' to be able to turn inside/out when making up your chosen projects.

From my own personal experience,... it gives a firmer stability than what the thick Iron-on Pellon does. ✔️

Tip-

Like all Fusible products, ... it is recommended that you DO NOT IRON DIRECTLY ON THE FOAM PRODUCT itself,...but instead, ... place the BACK SIDE of the Fusible product (right sides together) with the BACK SIDE of your Featured Fabric... and Iron on the correct side of your FABRIC... with high steam. 🩷

It is recommended to have your iron full of water, on the cotton setting (hot and steaming)... so when the steam comes out,  it melts the 'fusible'  - making the fabric and stabiliser correctly stick and fuse to each other.    When the fabric has cooled down,  test to see IF the product has stuck to it correctly. (If it still seperates when you try to peel the corners, it means that all the 'glue' has not melted enough to properly bond them together yet.) Simply use the hot STEAMY iron again (on your fabric side)... so the 'adhesive/glue' can melt and do its job. *Move your iron around so as not to scorch or burn your fabric! (You might like to do a test run first)... just remember not to have any of the Fusible product extending out the sides, ie larger than the actual fabric... or it will melt/ stick to your iron, fabric, board etc etc... and make a nice mess!! Hot Iron on the fabric only🩷

This is a beautiful, easy product to use... that gives great stability to your bags, containers etc.

*I also sell a DOUBLE-SIDED (version of this) Fusible Foam... that I highly recommend for use  AS THE BASE OF THE LARGE CAMDEN BAG (ie the LARGE strip-bag that we make in classes).
