A gorgeous assortment of...Beautiful Silk Threads for doing our Needleturn Appliqué, English Paper Piecing and hand sewing of our bindings on our quilts.
When you use a beautiful Silk Thread (combined with a fine gold eye Milliners Straw Needle - preferably Size 11, 10 or 9), your needle and thread will just glide through the fabric easily ...like smooth butter... making EPP or Needleturn a breeze!!
I personally love and use the beautiful Duruma brand of Silk Threads (fresh colors and ultra silky smooth, together with Gutermann Silk Threads (a lovely country colour palette that I personally like)...
** Always try and match your Silk thread to the colour of the fabric you are appliqueing...(ie Not matching it to the background fabric... but to the applique fabric itself)...
And if you can't get the exact shade you are after... always choose darker rather than lighter...

**Please note that your silk Threads are used for all stitching done from fabric to fabric BY HAND.
THEY ARE NOT FOR YOUR SEWING MACHINE... they do not like the high heat of a machine.
