Optional CLASSES -
For those who would like to do any of these designs with help from me -
You do have the option of joining me in monthly embroidery classes to work on this design... if you'd like.
I'll show you all the ways you can extend the use of the beautiful stitches that we use.
Learn about your Needles & Embroidery Threads, Fabrics & what stabilizers to use... as well as how to create beautiful 3 dimensional versions of the stitches we use.
I originally ran these classes as a specific "Jardin" once a month class... however, it was during a time I got very sick, so we were unable to stick to the hoped for regular schedule. I also ran a "Jardin" Zoom class for both local & overseas girls to be able to attend too.
(Unfortunately having a lengthy period of sickness interfered with this hoped for schedule too. It was hard to collaborate the time differences between local & overseas - to guarantee enough attendance. Add in peoples holidays, their family commitments, & their personal circumstances etc & it all ended a bit hickeldy pickeldy (is there's really such a word??? 😊🤗)
My apologies to anyone who did want to continue... I have now come up with an option that I believe will work a lot smoother for all...
Please note-
*(Genetic health issues will continue to be a part of my journey...(Unfortunately we get dealt what we get dealt),... but hopefully with less stress in my life...& by amalgamating these classes into my 'general embroidery classes', there will be more options of everyone getting classes too. 👏)
So these designs will now be taught in amongst my Regular Embroidery Classes from August 2024 onwards. (That way we can ensure there is always enough attendance for it to go ahead)... Thank you.
*Please get in contact if you would like to join in on the monthly embroidery classes*
Thank you. 🌷
You are welcome to start this design new with me now, or restarting (from where you are at) for the girls who have already done some Jardin with me.
Learn how to do beautiful extended embroideries and stitches on the designs.
*For those of you who might be worried about doing the applique flowers by Needleturn, I also teach how to do the beautiful Flower Petals over papers too, (ie EPP style) making them quicker & easier to do... that's a lovely Option for those doing them in classes with me... *If you would like this option, contact me... and I will talk to you about the size we increase the Pattern sheet to, and the EPP PAPERS & TEMPLATE WE USE.

Other details...
General Items You may need-
- Weaveline Stabiliser
- Bohin Size 3 to 9 Crewel Embroidery Needles.
- Pack of Size 9, 10, 11, or 15 Milliners Straw Needles for your Needleturn Applique
The size chosen depends on how good your eyesight is.
A size 11 is the preferred size... however if you wear glasses & strain to thread very fine needles you would be better trying my size 9's or 10's.
I sell and highly recommend the Sue Daley brand of Fine Milliners Straw Needles for your Needleturn.
Size 11 or 9 , or extra long 15... all help with RSI & Carpel tunnel too.
(Let the needle do all the bending instead of you!!). 🤗🤗
I recommend the lovely French Bohin 3-9 Crewel Embroidery Needles.
Optional Extras-
I highly recommend the use of a Spring Action Hoop...
*(Even if you do not presently use a Hoop, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU USE ONE FOR OUR LESSONS...) it keeps all the tension lovely and even..
- 5" Pink Spring Form Hoop.
- 3" Brown (small) Spring Form Hoop.
- Fine 01 (or 03) Pigma Tracing Pen (Unipin etc that I have here) Available in light Grey, Sepia or black.
WHEN ITS TIME FOR THE APPLIQUE CLASS -
- Fine (Silk) Thread- (in your corresponding chosen colours) to match your Liberty fabric backgrounds.
IF you already own Auriful thread for your Needleturn, that is fine too. I sell and recommend beautiful Fine Silk Thread in a great selection of colours (and, oh my gosh, when combined with the Fine Needleturn Needle...it just glides through your fabric like soft butter)...it's beautiful.... Duruma or Gutermann brand are my preferred Silk threads of choice... and the new Mettler Silk Finish Cotton - is my more recent one, as it is a bit easier to get... still with the lovely silk finish (this time over a cotton base).
(Always choose your thread to match your APPLIQUE FABRIC BACKGROUND Colour....NOT the fabric you are appliqueing onto... all will be explained in class).
- Possible Ceramic Pencil Sewline 3 in 1 ... marks finely in white, charcoal or pink... or alternatively if using dark applique fabrics your Clover Disappearing White Marking Pen.
- IF you are WANTING TO DO YOUR LEAVES BY the Glue-Stick EPP method ( instead of the Needleturn Appliqué Method,) you will need a Fabric Glue Pen and refill too. I have ALL ITEMS THAT YOU WILL NEED here...
I will teach both methods... for you to choose what you like best..
Have a go at the beautiful silky feel of the liberty fabrics with Needleturn... and then we'll go from there.
A Fine Pigma Pen (Uni Pin) (either size 01 or 03) for your embroideries.
Size 01 is Finer... and great if you can see the designs when you trace them with the Pigma Pen.... if you have difficulty seeing it, then choose a slightly thicker 03.
Available in light Grey, Sepia brown, and black. All work perfectly.
05 is what is used to write our Quilt Labels with... and is not recommended for tracing our embroideries with. It is too thick!
Optional -
- Epp Large Leaf Papers (for the leaves) and template....I will have these available and will include a few papers (free of charge - for the international girls to try)... saves on a second lot of postage if you prefer it over the Needleturn.
*Please note that NO LINENS OR LIBERTIES WILL BE CUT UNTIL THE KITS HAVE BEEN PAID FOR IN FULL. Thank-you.💕
***International girls- ***
*If you are purchasing the Throw Size please select Tier 1 shipping rate... However...If you are purchasing double quantity for an approx. Queen Size Kit... please select Tier 2 Rate (it is heavier with double the amount of beautiful Linen in it.) Thank you.
