Bohin French Needles
Straw Milliners Needles Size 3-9
Line them all up at the bottom...
The numbers in the haberdashery are OPPOSITE to our counting system...
Ie. The Smallest number equals the largest needle therefore
No.3 = largest needle
5 = next one down
No 7 is for 3 strands (and/or Perle 8)
No 9 is used for 2 strands of embroidery thread.
Used to create beautiful Bullion stitches, Bullion Roses, Grub Roses, etc.
The milliners needles is a lovely fine long needle where the shaft stays the same all the way along. Ie it DOES NOT taper out thicker for the eye... making it particularly fine for wrapping all the threads around to make beautiful Bullion Roses etc. Bohin is an extremely good brand, and what we use here all the time.
Team your beautiful needles with some Weaveline Stabiliser, some beautiful Linen for a background, hoop, pigma pen and your choice of threads and you are good to go.
Embroidery soothes the soul...
